Bojan Pirnat

Boyan Pirnat is a patient advocate for the bleeding disorders community. He is currently a committee member of the Blood Safety and Supply Committee for the Canadian Hemophilia Society, as well as being employed as the Manager of Member and Clinic Services at Hemophilia Ontario.

He has been a volunteer in the community for 15 years in various roles at the provincial, national, and international levels. As part of his work with the Blood Safety and Supply Committee he has been involved with ongoing advocacy efforts to improve access to novel therapies for people with bleeding disorders in Canada, as well as monitoring the safety of the blood supply as a part of the Canadian Inherited Bleeding Disorder Standards.

Working Group (CIBDSWG) he helped to create the updated Canadian Integrated and Comprehensive Care Standards for Inherited Bleeding Disorders.As the Manager of Member and Clinic Services at Hemophilia Ontario, Boyan's role is to support individual member advocacy in navigating the healthcare system, providing financial support, and liaising with Hemophilia Treatment Centres to collaborate in improving care for people with bleeding disorders as well as connecting them to resources and support. Boyan has also taken part in the National Youth Twinning between Canada and Bangladesh.
