PROGRAM
OVERVIEW

The Hemophilia Advocacy Advisors Board (HAAB) is a group of leading patient advocates dedicated to identifying unmet needs in the bleeding disorders community. Our mission is to empower advocates and national organizations by exposure to ideas and provision of skills and tools that enable achievable access to optimal and sustainable care.

As members of the board, every year we organize the Global Hemophilia Advocacy Leadership (GHAL) Summit with Bayer and BioMarin, which convenes the global advocacy community to discuss important issues affecting the hemophilia community right now, and also provides the training to implement change.

This year’s program will be comprised of a webinar series throughout 2022 and the GHAL Summit in January 2023 and will focus on how advocacy can improve access to effective treatment. We hope to facilitate understanding around what decision-makers want from patients in terms of evidence and other forms of input, especially as we look forwards the emergence of durable therapies.
