Dr Yasuharu Nishida is the Medical Director of the Hemophilia Care Unit and the Department of Infectious Disease at the Osaka National Hospital, where he supports approximately 130 hemophilia patients and other bleeding disorders with and without HIV infection.

He started his career as a haematologist and is now the medical advisor of the National Hemophilia Network of Japan which was incorporated in 2012 and has been the NMO of WFH since 2016. Dr Nishida has severe hemophilia A.
